Privacy Policy

Effective Date: July 1, 2026 · Automated Twitch Drops & Channel Points Collector (ATDC)
Summary: ATDC is a 100% client-side, local browser extension. We do not collect, transmit, store, or sell your personal information or browsing history to any external servers.

1. Overview & Our Philosophy

Automated Twitch Drops & Channel Points Collector ("ATDC", "we", "us", or "the extension") was engineered from the ground up to respect your privacy. Our core functionality runs locally within your browser tab and interacts exclusively with Twitch's official websites and API servers to claim rewards on your behalf.

2. Information We Handle & Why

To automatically claim Twitch Drops and Channel Point bonus chests, ATDC needs temporary local access to your Twitch session state. Specifically, the extension utilizes:

  • Twitch OAuth Access Tokens: When you connect your Twitch account via our secure login button, an OAuth token is granted to the extension. This token is stored strictly inside your browser's local extension storage (chrome.storage.local) and is used solely to authenticate API requests to Twitch to check your drop progress and execute claim actions.
  • Local Extension Settings: Preferences such as feature toggles (ON/OFF switches) and statistical claim counters (e.g., number of drops claimed) are stored locally on your device.

3. Where Your Data Goes

Nowhere except your browser and Twitch. ATDC does not operate any third-party servers, backend databases, or analytics services. All communication happens directly between your browser tab and official Twitch domains (such as www.twitch.tv, gql.twitch.tv, and id.twitch.tv). We have zero access to your tokens, password, or account details.

4. Chrome Extension Permissions Justification

Our extension requests only the minimum permissions necessary for its functionality:

  • storage: To store your toggle settings and claim counters locally on your device.
  • alarms: To schedule periodic background checks for drop inventory completion without requiring an active stream tab to be constantly open or focused.
  • notifications: To display desktop system alerts when a reward is successfully claimed.
  • identity: To launch the official Twitch OAuth login window securely.
  • host permissions (*.twitch.tv): To monitor drop status and click channel point bonus chests on Twitch live streams.

5. Data Sharing & Selling

We do not sell, rent, trade, or share any user data with advertisers, data brokers, or third parties under any circumstances.

6. Changes to This Policy

If we update this Privacy Policy in future versions of the extension, the changes will be updated directly on this page and noted in our release updates. Your continued use of the extension constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
